An Urban Girl's View...

The first day of May was first Friday fun at the Flat Iron Building. I always enjoy greeting those that come to visit the artist at the building. I did a tour with high school students and saw the film the Soloist.

Artropolis on Sunday was a good idea as Thursday's preview was a total mob scene. Sunday I was able to see more art with less people. Again, I was able to do two tours and spend mom's day taking it easy at home.

It was a fun April fool's day as I did a student tour. It was fun to have jokes through the morning. I attended the Affordable Meetings Hospitality Conference at Navy Pier where I got ideas and of course saw colleagues. I did another student tour and after headed to the Flat Iron Building for First Friday greeting.

Time has marched on and I have finally gotten to the update.

March began wih me participating as an election judge for the primay in the 5th Congressional District. From there I was able to attend the Illinois Governor's Conference on Tourism,Conference details on my blog. I attended Jersey Boys as part of the conference. It was fun to attend with a group that was excited about the experience.

Hello there,

December began with snow and me working
with RSNA as a dining chaperon. There were
a few more holiday parties and unique holiday
bazaars that got me into the seasonal spirit.

I attended the Search Engine Expo and
worked at the Flat Iron Building during
their holiday weekend show. I was on
hand for the reception introducing the
Green Meeting Industry Council chapter
to Chicago held at the Mart.

Everything kept moving in November. I finished up at
McCormick Place with the Plastic Surgeon's meeting.
From there I was in full election mode from meeting with
other election judges to setting up the polling place and
working during the historic election. I was running on
adrenaline as I attended a results party after closing and
