Dominican Hotels, Tour operators Did Paris, on Business
Santo Domingo.- To increase visits by tourists the Tourism Ministry (Sectur), 15 Dominican hotel companies and the airline Air France, recently participated in Paris’ French International Travel Market Fair.
Hundreds of French business leaders interested in the Dominican Republic as a preferred tourism destination were present in the yearly event featuring around 1,500 exhibitors and representatives from more than 150 countries, who promote their tourist attractions.

UNWTO: Increasing Confidence in 2010 Recovery for the Tourism Sector
Astana, Kazakhstan / Madrid. The conditions of the tourism market are starting to indicate stronger prospects for a recovery in 2010. These include macroeconomic upward revisions from the IMF together with preliminary international tourism figures until August this year. Dominican Republic To Take Part In Shanghai’s World Fair
SHANGHAI.- Dominican Republic will have a pavilion in Shanghai 2010 World’s Fair, to be staged with the motto " Better City, Better Life," from May 1 to 31 October next year.
